Ovodry and box dryers systems
Once the liquid egg is pasteurised it can be dried and marketed in powder form for specific clients or for the export market.
The "box dryer" machine exists for this use, the liquid product is reduced to a powder with a high-pressure pump. The pulverised product is conveyed to a hot unit. The water present in the product evaporates immediately. The dry product falls to the bottom of the box dryer. It is then recovered and packed in different sized bags according to requirements.
These box dryers have a capacity of between 150 and 600 kg in powder per hour, i.e. the equivalent of 500 to 2,500 kg of liquid per hour.
For smaller quantities, the research department at Ovoconcept has designed a range of small "Ovodry" units for capacities of between 4 and 110 kg produced per hour, i.e. the equivalent of 16 to 400 kg of liquid per hour. The principal of this range is similar to the "box dryer". It provides an excellent quality egg powder.
